It all started with childhood friends jamming on reggae, blues, and punk tunes in Southern California's High Desert.
As goes the usual story, they went through drummer after drummer which turned out to be bummer after bummer and this frustration eventually led to the bands temporary hiatus in which both went their separate ways to pursue college.
Enter the summer of 2004: The band re-emerges with a new drummer, Logan, and they immediately start writing new tunes and cut a four song demo called Bum Reaction. It became obvious after the demo sessions were completed that they had more than enough material to lay down a full length album. Eighteen tracks were cut, 17 were used and thus we have the totally independent, ultimate D.I.Y. album, Bad Nation.
During these sessions Riff Raff Dub has been slugging away playing in Orange, LA, and San Bernardino County. Some of the bands that Riff Raff Dub has played with include Slightly Stoopid, Common Sense, Ras Michael and the Sons of Negas, the Expendables, and Dumbluck.
Their album Bad Nation is a hybrid of reggae, dub, ska, punk, and metal and there is definitely something for everybody on this totally independent and eclectic album.
