About Me

Videopixel became interested in Vjing in 2003, shortly after he began his graduation in Cine-Video in ESAP, influenced by some of his colleagues and friends. In 2004, he premieres has a vj at the legendary and charismatic Nasoni club, in Viana do Castelo, and soon after he was already invited to join some of the town Djs in their sets, as well as to animate the projection screen of some of the city clubs.
Videopixel develops a type of work which is directed to drum’n’bass and to the cracked beats, musical spectre that makes him feel right at home. Still, he also creates some versatility in mixing the video which allows him to show in his images in quieter atmospheres and with softer sonorities.
In 2005 he is responsible, along with two old friends, for the establishment of Cinética, a promotive group dedicated to act in the region of Viana do Castelo with the main goal of fulfilling a cultural gap in the area. Between 2005 and nowadays, his evolution has a vj has been tremendous and distinguished in well separate paths that range from the quick and sharp mixing in 175 bpms to the extended funk and liquid clips. All of this was possible in large part thanks to the good opportunities that have been presented specially by Bazaar club in Porto and by Cinética in Viana do Castelo.
Among the places where he has already presented his work are: Bazaar (where he is a home Vj since 2005), PACHA (as a staff member of BOX club 2005). Hard-Club, Mau Mau, Maré Alta, Nasoni, Box club, Look club, Caffé del Rio and others.
Among the well-known Djs are: All Portuguese and foreign drum’n’bass djs: Krust, Noisia, Sub Focus, Shy Fx, Ez Rollers, Fresh, Panacea, Future Bound, Night Breed, Moving Fusion, Aphrodite, State of Mind, No Money, Ink, Identity, Patife and others;Out of the drum’n’bass scene there are also some important names to refer to, such as: Jazzanova, Amalgamation of Soundz, Cosmo, The Voodu Child and others. made with the Cosmoedit Myspace Generator
