Divide and Conquer were a pro cycling D.I.Y Punk/Hardcore/ Post Geekrock band that had 2 lives! D+C mark 1 were formed in Greensboro North Carolina with Brian Tumor (Guitar/vocs) Matt Ricide (Bass) Stanimal Gibson (drums) and Nate Thor (guitar) after a couple of EP's a european and several tours of thier native U.S.A they disbanded in 1998 when Brian Tumor moved to bonny Scotland!!! D+C mark2 were formed in Edinburgh in '98 when Tumor met up with hardened punk rock bassist T J Whack-it!(Jenny's Baby/Out of step) and drummer Murray "40 bands" Christmas (Oi Polloi/In Decades Decline/Moniack/Gin Goblins/Spud Boy/Out of step/The Jockney Rejects/Greathead Briggs/Unique Freak/Sativa Drummers/Aberfeldy/Les Miseres) after releasing an Ep "The need to amputate" and a split Lp with french art rockers ROBOTNIKA and several european tours and a tour of the states the band fizzled out in 2001 but never really split up ............Watch this space...............!!!! Tumor now lives and works all over europe and also plays keyboards dressed as a wizard in aforementioned Robotnika, Whack-it is currently involved in several projects (top secret) and Christmas is working with seminal post prog legends Moniack, Hardcore grindexperimentalits In Decades Decline, and indie pop darlings Aberfeldy!!Also check out nobby and Les fighting for the number one slot in our "Top Friends"!!!
