I am a "child" of the 80's where I first met music aside from that what my parents heared. So the first song I fell in love with was Mike Oldfields "Moonlight Shadow" - do you know that song? Great, he only played the guitar and Maggie Reilly sings. My first favourite band was Duran Duran, then a year later Depeche Mode, Soft Cell, Talk Talk, Tears for Fears ("Shout" - I will never forget this song, brilliant!),

Queen (R.I.P. Freddie Mercury - I miss you so much - never forget the moment I heared that you're dead on the radio), Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, INXS (Michael Hutchence - hope you are happier now, wherever you are), Meat Loaf, Belinda Carlisle ( she is so beautiful!!!), Billy Idol (a real cool tough guy), Bryan Adams (your "Summer of 69" is one of the best songs of all time), Bruce Springsteen,
Here in Germany we had a new tend in the 80s called "die Neue Deutsche Welle" shortly NDW with stars like Nena, Joachim Witt, Trio or Hubert Kah.
The first LP: I got AC/DCs (Back in Black), Kiss (Dynastiy)and Motörheads (No Sleep til Hammersmith) - my cousin Undine gave them to me as a present because her brother, my cousin, left the family and also his LP's and she didn't like them...
