David Blue was a sadly underappreciated singer-songwriter, often criticised and characterised as being a Dylan imitator. While there was definitely a Dylan influence early on (he was friends with Dylan in NY in the 60s), he had a voice and phrasing that was uniquely his own, and a lyrical style that drew great praise from Leonard Cohen, among others.
