comment box generator Rude Punch was formed by three guys from Davenport, Iowa in the Spring of 2006.Brady Jager, Adam Tucker and Robb Laake have been playing together since they went to high school together in Davenport.Playing in a couple different bands, they noticed that when band practice was over they would meet up together outside of their other bands and play the music they really wanted to play...Reggae.At first they would just jam covers of their favorite bands Sublime, 311, and of course Bob Marley. After the other bands broke-up they decided to take Take their new band on as their full project.From 2004-2006 they practiced and began writing songs. In the spring of 2006 Rude Punch began playing some shows for their friends' parties and some local bars, creating a good fan-base of "life-loving, partying, dancing, have-a-good-time people". Rude Punch finished their first album in Galena, Illinois at M- studios in the fall of 2006. With that c.d. they took their sound on the road playing shows in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Florida, and Texas creating small networks of fans round the midwest and south.Rude Punch's original songs and drive to play for people who need real music have earned them a local and regional reputation as a band with exciting songs that likes to have a good time. Playing with acts such as The Wailers, Pepper, Everclear, Joseph Israel and Josh Fischel of Bargain Music, while working with regional bands has created a solid fanbase for them to tour on in 2008.NOW-The band is writing and recording songs for their second c.d. due out late summer 2008.
