About Me

OK, so one semester down on the Masters degree. I'm really enjoying my courses (mostly), and am really excited to start my research. I am going to do a fire study - yeah, fire! If your interested in watching, I'll be igniting my experiments next spring. My July trip to Knoxville and the University of Tennessee was AWESOME! I learned so very much, and got to the Body Farm. I was there over my birthday, so instead of a birthday cake, the instructors burned a house down. OK, so it really wasn't for me as much as it was for the class, but I like to think it was my own personal candle. My drive down was made fun by my navigator - my mom. Who knew I could have a good time with a parent while stuck in a car for 13 hours?! Then, the weekend in between Dave flew down and we headed to North Carolina. We did some major touring - Grandfather Mountain and the Biltmore Estate. We were really dragging ass afterwards. Now we are back in Iowa and life continues on to the same old beat. I start school pretty soon, and can't wait to get back to teaching. I really enjoy it . . . maybe I've found my calling. I can hope.Get MySpace Layouts from nUCLEArcENTURy .COM OR create your own using MySpace profile editor !!!

Music:

I enjoy most types of music, including classical, hip hop, rock, disco and oldies. Basically anything but country and metal! Favorite artists include Dean Martin, Baz Luhrmann, Claude Debussy, Jimmy Buffett, and KC & the Sunshine Band.

Movies:

I have watched so many movies - it's hard to pick my favorites. I enjoy thrillers and crime flicks, but I also like a good comedy. The flicks I enjoy over and over again include Clue, Uncle Buck, Down Periscope, and Silence of the Lambs.

Television:

I am a a TV-aholic! My favorite shows involve crime - CSI, Bones, Criminal Minds, and NCIS. I also enjoy watching Dexter, Golden Girls, Family Guy, Survivor, The Big Bang Theory, Ghost Whisperer, and anything having to do with ghosts, hauntings, and mediums.

Books:

The only books I get to read anymore are text books - yuck! But I did tackle 3 (count them 3) free-reading books this summer - "Spook" (scientific investigations into the human soul), "Death's Acre" (Dr. Bass's autobio), and "Carved in Bone".

Heroes:

My heros are my parents. They are very funny, wise and independent people that I admire greatly. I am lucky to have them in my life and consider them two of my best friends. Also, Dr. Bill Bass. His revolutionary thinking and genius has led me to an area of study that truly has changed my life and those of many others.
