About Me

Bassist - Fretless - Electric - Acoustic
From Jazz Fusion to Blues Rock , Troy Gurganious, Jr. has been performing and refining his talents as a bassist for nearly twenty years. Working with such notables as Blue Baron and Cosmo St. Clair, Troy also recently completed the 2005 West Coast Tour including Canada with EMI Recording Artist Wolf Mail.

Currently living in Tucson, after spending 8 years in Los Angeles, Troy was born in South Carolina and raised in South Jersey. After serving in the military, he then completed his education at the Philadelphia Art Institute where he studied film and television. He has been a member of such local L.A. bands as Voluble and Flathead Ford, and continues to travel throughout the country playing great music every chance he gets.

Inspired by such great artists as Charles Mingus, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Parliament-Funkadelic, John Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, and James Brown, Troy is always looking for new ways to expand his knowledge and experience in music, and in life.
