I am here for Friends

About Me

I am 25 years old. An IT Manager and a Safari Driver. Life is all about balance.
But, since so many people I know are now using MySpace, I thought, what the hell.
At my day job I run computer systems for about 30 people, do a little systems programming, server administration, web development, etc. On the weekend I drive a safari vehicle for DAK, and I love every minute of it, even parking strollers and unloading guests, but my favorites are Departure 3 trucks, normal trucks, fast trucks (41), and cheers 1 or 2.This is the safari thing below.

My Interests

Jeeps, Lost, Halo, Skiing, Rollerblades, Weightlifting, Science Fiction Movies, Racing Games, Reading, etc.

I'd like to meet:

Safari Drivers! New friends, fellow Jeepers, etc. Feel free to say hello here and in person, especially safari people, you guys are amazing, and have made me feel so welcome.

Music:

I like dance music, mashups, anything with a cool beat and strong female vocals. I love mashups so much, because you get these crazy duets between people you would have never expected. Lately i've been listening to the Ramdom Thoughts.co.uk podcast, which had most recently a mashup between Rhiana and Michael Jackson that was incredibly hardcore.

Movies:

License to Drive, Independence Day, Mars Attacks, Spaceballs, Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail, Transporter.

Television:

The Outer Limits, The Twilight Zone, Lost, Star Trek TNG, Stargate (all forms), Battlestar Galactica, Fraggle Rock, Smurfs. My favorite Outer Limits episode is "Human Operators" (Ship likes to watch :)

Books:

The Dark Tower series by Steven King is my top series, occasionally changing places with the Rama series by Arthur C. Clark, the others are

  • City and the Stars by ACC
  • Kaliedescope Century by John Barnes
  • Orphan of the Stars (Heinlein?)
  • Methusela's Children (Heinlien?)
  • Neuromancer/Mona Lisa OverDrive/Count Zero Interrupt (sprawl Trilogy by William Gibson)
  • heart of a Comet by David Brin
  • The Neutronium Alchemist by Peter Hamilton
  • Hope for the Flowers
  • Heroes:

My parents, elaine and steve. My grandmother, both of them, but most the one on my mom's side.
