I am a sun and sand girl so put me by the water, on a sandy beach in a warm and tropical location and I am in heaven! I like boating, kayaking, corvettes, frisbee, football, watching many sports, especially those particated in by the ones I love, and working in my flower gardens. I enjoy long walks on the beach or in the woods, and working out with weights. I need to get back into the routine of things after a busy summer. I enjoy meeting new people, chatting online, nice dinners out or in, good company and great friends. I tease about being domestically impared, but am willing to do some entertaining with the right encouragement. My children fill my life with activities and I love sharing their lives with them...only a few short years and they will be off on their own... am enjoying them while they are still home.
Who would I like to meet? YOU! I enjoy making new friends and cultivating old ones! I want to know who you are and what makes you happy, sad, motivated, energized, etc. So what are you waiting for...tell me all about you!
I listen mostly to country and classic rock when I am on my own. The kids have eased me into the more modern pop and rap that they listen to and I am suprised sometimes at how much of this type of music I enjoy as well!
I enjoy going to the movies, or renting movies and making home popped popcorn. You know, the real stuff popped in a heavy pan with oil and topped with real butter! I enjoy action movies, drama, comedy (just not the stupid stuff), mysteries, and who done it's...and an occassional chick flick! Come on, I am a chick...give me a break! LOLMost recent movies that I have paid to see? August Rush, PS I love you, and Alien vs Preditor. Two out of three were awesome.Movies I want to see: National Treasure II, Charlie Wilsons War, the Water Horse and Atonment (?)
I am not much of a TV watcher, who can be with teenagers! I rarely get control of the remote! When I do I tune in to CSI, Big Brother, Biggest Loser, What not to Wear, or the occassional documentary. Recently I found it interesting to watch the HBO documentary about Hiroshima. I couldn't watch it in long doses, too emotional, but interesting to see and hear about their experiences...how very sad...
I just finished The Smoke Jumper by Nicholas Evans and it was a wonderful book. I am currently working on reading the book PS I love you. The movie was just released and it was wonderful...am hopeful that the book is the same.
My heros include my dad (god rest his soul), my mom, my best friend Robin and my three children, Adam, Eric and Emily. They all have taught me about life and love, honesty, respect and forgiveness, the value of hard work and the treasure of being loved unconditionally.
