Chinchillas are native to the andes mountains, even though we have become completely domesticated and are no longer in the wild.
Being Native to the Andes we chinchillas have very thick fur coats,and if we go into temperatures higher than 80 degrees farenheit we could die of heatstroke.
Our fur coats are the reason our species hasnt died out, humans love the soft feel of our fur, and would pay out their rectal openings for it, so my brother's and sisters are raised in captivity and harvested, like corn, or sheep.
