Brief History Since April 1990, SLG has committed itself to empower all women of culture. Founded at the University of Iowa, SLG has spread throughout the United States making us the fastest growing Latina-Based Sorority w/Multicultural Membership.
The Chi Alpha Chapter was established at the University of Houston in the Spring of 2000. Throughout our 6 years of existence at the University of Houston, the Chi Alpha Chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma has initiated 96 sisters.

What is Rush? Rush is a period during which interested ladies of SLG attend a variety of fun, interactive events that allow them to make an informed decision on whether or not they would like to pledge. Rush events are always free to all of our interests and are guaranteed to be a great way of getting to know the Gammas while having a good time.
