Coming up in the age of hip hop you have to have the do for yourself attitude. That’s the mind frame of Alicia Allout. Born on the South Side of Chicago the ever so quiet yet effective Alicia Allout personified Chicago state of mind. Raised in a very strict religious home Alicia would sneak out the house to do street team work for newly open clothing stores just to get some free cloths and discounts. "I always love fashion and my parents couldn't afford much so I found my own ways to get what I want." But it wasn’t until she met legendary radio DJ Pinkhouse who gave her the advice to start helping local artist in the area with promo work. That didn't sit well back home cause Alicia mother had ban all secular music from the house. " I use to sneak radios in my room and listen to music all night, hide them in the morning so she won't throw them in the garbage." At the tender age of sixteen she started promoting a rap group called Get Boys. Who open up for Twista, Public Announcement, Da Brat, Subway, 702 and organize a back to school tour throughout the Midwest for the group. "The only way I could get out the house to do my show was if, I said I was going to a church member house or something just to go to the show." After the group parted ways Alicia began writing and producing for local artist as well as doing Midwest promo work for label powerhouses; Bad Boy, So So Def, Jive, Motown and Def Jam. With the advice from the music industry playmakers, Alicia started Surshock Management. With the hopes of adding to the music industry history books. Many industry vets are giving Alicia the stamp of approval declaring her as some one to watch out for on the business side of music. So be on the lookout!
