I was born in 1981, grew up with a lot of music around me since my mother was a big fan of listening to and playing music as well. Right around the time I was supposed to be learning how to walk, my mother was teaching me to clap on the beat, and the afterbeat as well. By the time I reached the appropriate size to drum, I began to make noise all day long. That never stopped. Age 8 I started music school in Tongeren, when I turned 13 I started doing my first live gigs. By the time I turned 18 I was performing professionally in bands with own material as well as cover-bands, jazz-combo's, ballroom orchestra's, latin bands and supporting (major) acts. Some for money, some for the fun but always for the music. I've always been doing my own project's as well, starting with a 4-track, age 14 up till now, age 26 in my home-studio. My main project right now is Common Knowledge, a project where I combine my music with the lyrics of Sander Ramaekers. Aside from that I am also the drummer of the Belgian rock band Silverene, I do freelance drumming, I love trying new things. I am also a teacher at the muziekodroom in Hasselt.
