Born and Raised in northern New Mexico I have traveled throughout the world. Currently I am living in Hannover Germany. For a person who grew up in Cerro/Questa and Santa Fe this is a switch. Anyhow, while living in Germany I couldn't find musicians that would play northern New Mexico music. So Looking for something challenging I started with a fiddle player named Tommy Kraus. Playing what we call "Real Irish Music!". Kinda strange for someone who has no Irish blood. Oh well, it still sounded ok. After catching the curve Tommy and I groupped up with a drummer Thomas Stahmer. We played a few gigs. That was nice!
Now, that Tommy K. decided to go his own way, Thomas S. and I decided to follow the country/rock direction we had temporarily started. In doing this we found new musicians. We have now found 2 brothers Thomas and Olaf Leinz. Thomas plays the acoustic guitar and Olaf primarily the slide acoustic, and Ralf Voelker plays bass. This together with my guitar playing has proven to be a good winning start. We have decided to follow the basic direction of only playing original songs.
We are going to record and release an new CD. !!The Regulators!!. We have a bunch of new material and some of the songs are really awsome!!!!! When we ge t the CD pressed I will then upload and change some songs on this site. That should be around July/August 2008. Check it out man!!!! Also being that "The Regulators are" are a new band we have a new WEB Site. Currently only in German. The American side is coming soon. You can goto that WEB site at: THE REGULATORS Enjoy it!!!!
We are planning some gigs for next year. The Regulators are ready to com out of the wood work, and do some damage to the music scene here in Germany. Lets do it guys!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just hope that Germany is ready for the likes of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Lets have some fun
