Wendy grew up in the Wayside area of Ocean Township, New Jersey and now resides in Northern New Jersey. She's married to Kevin Hunter who she has a son with, born in 2000. Williams earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.Williams interned at Kiss 108 in Boston on the Matt Siegel morning show. After graduation, she went to work for WVIS, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. After 8 months there, she moved to Oldies-formatted WOL-AM, Washington, D.C. A little under a year later, she was hired to do overnights at WQHT Hot 103.5 FM, New York. She moved over to WPLJ 95.5 FM doing the 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. slot. Next, Wendy was lured over to WRKS 98.7 KISS-FM to do 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Williams continued to move to more prominent air shifts. From 1995 to 1998 she worked at WQHT-FM, Hot 97, New York before moving in 1998 to WUSL-FM, Power 99 in Philadelphia. In 2001 she returned to New York to work for her current employer, WBLS-FM. 2003 Superadio launches the nationally syndicated radio show "The Wendy Williams Experience"
