Weekend not too bad. Blood sugars all over place.It seems to be better this morning (Monday AM).

May 16, 2008Well today hasn't been too bad. A little tired and somewhat shaky. Blood sugar is still wild. Dr. said the steroid is the reason.

Not too bad today. It's making my blood sugar go nuts. Will call Dr Fischer tomorrow about it.
They said it was steroids.

May 14, 2008Wake up at 3am and can't go back to sleep. Today will be worst chemo day. 5 hours to pump this stuff in. First get Zofran and saline for an hour. Then they give you Lazik to make you pee. ...

First day for chemo. Meet with DR. Parker first. I like him, very upbeat and nice guy! Now I see why they use the port. Makes it easy to get drugs into you.
Takes a 1 1/2 hours today...

Port Implant Day. 7:45 we get to hospital. Implant scheduled for 9:45 but it's 10:45 before it's a go. Once again really good drugs. Whomever invented Versad, is rich I hope. You get that ...

Heart scan at Baptist today is interesting to see. It takes a picture of your heart as it beats.It is to make sure the volume your heart pumps is good and it can take the poision to come.

We wait all weekend and today on pins and needles. Finally about 4pm the call comes and it is just the bladder. Thank you God!!!
