About Me

As an atheist philosopher, he thought that, by concentrating all his energy only into his brain, man could influence and change the way things were. He was describing religions as deceitful, useless and promoting passivity, and to him religion lead directly to the brain of thoughts. According to Crowley, man was supposed to struggle against nature in order to exercise his brain and the powers that it contains, and attain by this means supreme felicity. Beyond the biblical meaning, there is the principle that man can reveal himself to himself. There is therefore a pun here because there is the christian theory on the one hand, and something religion wants to keep quiet on the other.
Chinese civilisation is so systematic that wild animals have been abolished on principle.
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.
Falsehood is invariably the child of fear in one form or another.
I can imagine myself on my death-bed, spent utterly with lust to touch the next world, like a boy asking for his first kiss from a woman.
I have never grown out of the infantile belief that the universe was made for me to suck.
I was asked to memorise what I did not understand; and, my memory being so good, it refused to be insulted in that manner.
I was not content to believe in a personal devil and serve him, in the ordinary sense of the word. I wanted to get hold of him personally and become his chief of staff.
The pious pretense that evil does not exist only makes it vague, enormous and menacing.
The supreme satisfaction is to be able to despise one's neighbor and this fact goes far to account for religious intolerance. It is evidently consoling to reflect that the people next door are headed for hell.
To me a book is a message from the gods to mankind; or, if not, should never be published at all.
"The boundaries which divide Life from Death are at best shadowy and vague. Who shall say where the one ends, and where the other begins?"
"The death then of a beautiful woman is unquestionably the most poetical topic in the world, and equally is it beyond doubt that the lips best suited for such topic are those of a bereaved lover." Attributed: "There is nothing more beautiful than the death of a beautiful woman."
“I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.”
science has not yet taught us if madness is or is not the sublimity of the intelligence.” Edgar Allan Poe

1. The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao.
The unnamable is the eternally real.
Naming is the origin of all particular things.

The name that can be named is not the eternal Name.
Free from desire, you realize the mystery.
Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.

Yet mystery and manifestations arise from the same source.
This source is called darkness.

Darkness within darkness. The gateway to all understanding.
