About Me
In The Mids Of People Saying "Hip-Hop Is Dead", There Are Still Young Talented Artists Left To Be Noticed. Rocking Rhymes, Throwing Punchlines, Competiting Against Other Artists, As He Would Like To Call Himself "The Prince of Underground Hip-Hop". Born Jamar "BoyWonder" Creighton on May 6, 1990 From A Place Where Hip-Hop Was Originated; The Bronx. Ever Since Birth, Growing Up As A Young Boy, BoyWonder Was Surrounded By All Types Of Music, Being That His Father (Norman Creighton Sr.); Had A Love for Music, Also Having A DJ Type Studio In His Home Where BoyWonder Started Getting His Practice.
Growin Up BoyWonder Wasn't Too Much A Big Fan Of Hip-Hop, He Didn't Really Listen To It; BoyWonder Mostly Listened To What His Father Liked, Like Older Time DJ's Such As Beres Hammond, Garnet Silk, Bob Marley, Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Gregory Issacs, Coco Tea, Anthony B, Etc. By The Time BoyWonder Reached An Age To Really Decide His Choice, It Certainly Wasn't That Kind of Music, But He Found Hip-Hop. BoyWonder Always Loved Music, Writing Lyrics in Class, Rapping In Middle School With His Friends, Plus Wanting To Record Music, But Didn't Have a Way To, Or Didn't Know How To Start A Studio.
January of 2006, BoyWonder Started Off Practicing, Rapping In His Living Room On A Computer Mic, Hooked Up To His Computer. It Wasn't A Long Time Until He Realized That Wasn't Good Quality, Or The Way To Record. The Next Month In February of 2006, BoyWonder & His Two Brothers From Another Mother, Rishawn "XS" Royal - (President/Artist Of Mind State), And Nkosi "Rich Kid" Dahl - (Vice President Of Mind State), Decided They Were Going to Form A Group, Which Started off With The Name "C.H.A.S.E.", Which Meant (Cash, Hoes, Assets, Sex, Entertainment); But Overlooked For The Name They Go By Now, "Mind State". With That Idea The Three Young Men Had In Mind Building Their Own Studio. In March of 2006, Mind State Had Already Reached Half Way Done With Their Studio, But Then Joining A Group By The Name Of "L-City" Who Already Had A Studio. Mind State And L-City Recorded Hit Music For The Streets About 9 Months, Until December Problems Occured, Everything Changed, Plus BoyWonder Moving To Another House.
In January Of 2007 The Both Groups Seperated, Leaving Mind State With Half Of A Studio Once Again. That Situation Didn't Stop Them From Getting Back On Track. In March 2007, Mind State Completed Their Studio. BoyWonder Then Came Up With The Idea To Say "Since We Been Gone For 4 Months, We Gonna Give Underground Artists/Producers 2 Extra Months, Which Would Be 6 Months To Get Themselves Together Before We Get Back". Mind State Coming Back On May 27, 2007 Releasing The Track "How We Style" (Feat. Young E & XS) & "80's/90's Flow" (Feat. XS); Brought Them Back In The Game. Mind State Now Have A Home Made Studio, Making Music, And Always Wanting To Upgrade To Better Equipment As Time Goes On & Technology Gets Better. BoyWonder Is Now 18 Years Old, Making Music As You Can See, And Trying To Lead His Group to Great Success. In His Words "Critics Is Helpful, Making Me Better, And Continuing To Prove Them Wrong" Showing It By Continuing To Be Dedicated To His Music. Around The Way, The Word Is Mind State Is Planning To Drop Their Debut Mixtape "Judgement Day" In Fall 2008.
