My name is Cammy. I have been writing since I was a teenager. I started writing poetry and it blossomed into writing songs as a kind of therapy. It helped me to get my feelings out and on paper instead of locking them up. The songs that I write come from my life experiences and from some personal tragedy. It will give you an understanding of where I have come from so that you can know where I am going. I have some wonderful friends out there that are encouraging me to write. They have been there for me when the times were hard and told me to get my feelings down on paper that it would make a great song. Some of my best songs are from the worst parts of my life. They say write what you know. I certainly can do that, as I have had many life experiences. Some were funny and some were not so great, but all in all they have made me who I am today. Some great lyrics have come from them as well.I have many friends that are artists. They have read some of my songs and have encouraged me to pursure my writing. They have offered to write the music and to record some of my songs. If it was not for the fact that the artists have believed in me and kind of pushed me, I would not have done anything with the songs I have written. It was through them that I have decided that I could do anything I set my mind to. And for that I thank them. They know who they are. I would also like to thank my friends for being there when I needed them. They have been a shoulder to cry on and a voice of reason. Even a life line when I needed it most. Mostly just offering to kick my butt if I didn't get out and write. They are my angels. I write the words but the inspiration comes from within my soul. Some of my songs are deep and some are funny but they are all a part of me. If you listen to the words you may actually get insight into who I am and where I have come from.
