Where do I start? My maiden name is Shoemaker. I was born and raised a West Virginia girl -- I've lived in the flat and windy state of Ohio for almost 10 years! Torture, truly. I went to C-K, Grace Christian and graduated from Buffalo (Wayne) High School in 1996. I went to Marshall and Bowling Green State University. I try to get back to Huntington every chance I get. At home, I have a wonderful husband and four (count 'em, four!) beautiful kids who amaze, frazzle and entertain me every day. There is NEVER a dull moment in our house. I am a HUGE Marshall Thundering Herd fan -- have been all my life. I'm a writer for The Herald-Dispatch (via long-distance freelancing) -- which enables me to stay home with my kids. I've played the piano for 26 years. I love cooking, I'm very involved in church and I have a slight addiction to magazines -- People, Good Housekeeping, Family Circle, you name it...I read it.
