The manifest starts from the name, that conceives an ideal, a philosophy and an attitude. PROVEITOSA PRÁTICA is a band willing to do music to experiment, protest,
dance and exalt all the positive energy that music may have._______________________________________________________ __________
The band was created in 2001, born from friendship and "musical gathering" where they played versions of Parliament & Funkadelic, Jimi Hendrix, Gerson Combo, Tim Maia, Jorge Ben. Today, Proveitosa develops its own sound language, where the references from 70..s Funk joins contemporary influences to create an "Original Funk" with creative arrangements, contagious rythim and straight lyrics. the band released two singles, "Mato Maravilha" and "Insert Coins", a videoclip of the song "Insert Coins". In 2004, "Mato Maravilha", the group..s first single, was selected to be part of the original sountrack of the motion picture "Fé em Deus e Pé na Tábua", made by Drop Dead (streetwear brand).
the band's first album, called 'proveitosa prática' , was released on may 9th, 2007
