BE NOT SIMPLY GOOD; BE GOOD FOR SOMETHING.

About Me

I could give you the basics, but it's been done and I am unique and different (at least I think I am today). I recently celebrated my 23rd and as I reflect on the past year I realize not much has changed. I haven't changed the world. I haven't saved a life. I want to leave my mark on this world, but we are all so insignificant, can we really make an impact? And there are so many wrongs to right, where do you start, how do you choose? Despite my downfalls I know I will find my purpose and I will make a difference, if not to everyone, then to someone. There is so much that I have accomplished in the last year and SO much to look forward to in the year ahead. I think 2007 will be: My Best And Worst Year. What I have accomplished cannot be described in physical terms; it's something I feel. I am proud. I am happy( and for those of you who knew me way back when, that's saying a lot).I took a big risk by leaving the comfort of my hometown and childhood friends to pursue my career, as a kitchen & bath designer, and it has paid dividends. I am fortunate to have a job that allows me to be creative and challenged and is different every day. I am blessed to have colleagues who support me and push me; they are truly priceless and I don't know what I'd do without them. I don't know how many people can say they love their job, but I really do.I am thankful to be in a place, literally and figuratively, that balances my need for solitude and calm with my need for stimulation and to let loose. Chicago is an amazing city. There is so much to experience and I have only scratched the surface. I hope everyone has the opportunity to visit; you may not want to leave when you do.I'm learning to make peace with my past. It's a slow road with lots of bumps along the way, but I'm driving on. Someone very wise (:oD) told me that "life's too short." I know we've all heard that before, but when the right person says it, it resonates the right way. I've learned that we're all gonna have difficult experiences, but if you can embrace them and come out a better person in the end, then they will be worth it and yes, life is too short...not to live it to it's fullest.
