The Well Community

About Me

Current Events:
About Us: The Well is a group of people in Houston, Texas who seek to live out their lives as a public expression of faith in Jesus Christ. There is no agenda here, only to love and worship God and serve one another and our community. We exist to seek, worship, and learn about Christ while being fully integrated into the real world and not hiding inside an irrelevant, insulated, archaic, sectarian, unrepresentative Christian bubble.
Common although not exclusive traits of the current attendees are college degrees, interest and/or participation in the arts, decent intellectual capacity, an ecumenical respect for the Church, and a willingness to serve others. Some of us are married, some are single, engaged, divorced, etc... The Well is not exclusive to any age group, interest activity, marital status, political affiliation, race, etc...
The Well meets weekly in several different "cell" groups around the city of Houston. About once a month we get together en masse and have a big celebration of worship. The Well is not dating service, nor a motivational training course, nor a pre-marital counseling center, nor a church-plant, nor a recovery center, nor a seminary, nor a concert venue. However, at one point or another some of those needs may have been met by The Well as a positive unintended consequence to the glory of God.
We are blessed to be a ministry of Grace Presbyterian Church in Houston who supports us as we try to reach this generation of young adults!

what IS a cell group?

Why small groups? There is an innate human need to experience life with other people. More specifically, as Christians, there is an innate quality in the DNA of our faith to experience life in Christ ...
