About Me

About me:
Welcome to Gideon Reeling's Myspace
Gideon Reeling is a purveyor of bespoke interractive experiences. Mr Reeling has travelled extensively and has been fortunate enough to have had fruitful involvement in many fascinating projects and positions through his career. He has offices in London, New York and Tokyo, and is always looking for new and challenging business ventures.
Gideon Reeling's Assistants were so happy to be awarded The Vauxhall Collective's theatre bursary and were fortunate enough to take their Great British Road trip - now at www.greatbritishroadtrip.com as long as the assistants can find the petty cash box. Thank you to those who joined us on the road trip and of course who joined us at the Skinner/Reeling wedding of the year. Your company, your amazing gifts, your laughter and dancing were truly magnificant and we promise that a screening of the night will materialise very soon. The trailer is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xq79dWrAYdc and we will have another lovely party together. So...when can everyone come? The winners of the Road trip were The (wonderful) Ribston Pippins, see this link for their blog...http://www.greatbritishroadtrip.com/node/427 . Pure dedicated and worthy travellers In 2nd place, just Pippinned to the post, were team Muntymunty- the clear leader through most of the trip and, too, creators of some truly marvellous roadtripping moments. And in 3rd place were the lovely test-test-test-1-2-3. Long may they prosper. But our enormous thanks also to all the participants and observers of the website and installations along the road. Gideon Reeling is currently musing on how we can continue the GBRT as so many people have requested the chance to visit the charms of England and to continue to ruthlessly compete with one another for points.. in pleasant weather....watch this space.

We would like to wish you a Very Happy New Year. 2008 was a very creative year and Mr Reeling's thanks go out to all the dedicated and talented folk who asssited in many capacities over its course.................
The year started with the glorious Red Death Lates for Punchdrunk and the BAC- crescendo-ing with Gideon Reeling's April Fools Gold at which we were fortunate enough to be joined by not only a plethora of fabulous assistants but also The Correspondents AND the marvellous Basement Jaxx for a remarkable night.
Other Highlights included:
For the 2nd Hide and Seek Festival- THIS IS IT, a large scale, sadly a little drizzly, chase across the capital in early summer in collaboration with KSwiss. Thanks go to all the tireless chasers and checkpoints and, of course, to our runners who braved the rain and pushed on against almost insurmountable odds and astounding numbers of chasers to see the wonderful Imperial Leisure charm us at Bardens Boudoir in Dalston. And thanks of course to Hide and Seek www.hideandseekfest.co.uk
Ratcatcher- a big-game at the BFI based around the classic Ivor Novello movie, THe Rat, as part of their Dressed to Kill Season. ttp://sandpit.hideandseekfest.co.uk/category/blog/page/3/ http://kultur-demo2.eprints.org/282/6/FFF_08_bfi-weekender.p df
Mr Reeling's Reel around the Dingly Dell- or 'No man is an Island'-at Mr and Mrs Da Bank's joyful inaugural Camp Bestival Festival- a theatrical treat, the creators of which deserve especial thanks- Tablesale www.myspace.com/tablesale and Perhaps Contraption, who provided the music, Miss Vaughn and her astounding design team (Messers Montgomery, Crippen and Al Jawad and Misses Minns, Steidl and Ellison) and Miss Rigby and her remarkable costumes with Miss Kobelinsky and to the villagers Messers Blake, Boyd and Wilson and Misses Huguet, Bichard, Burton. http://www.campbestival.co.uk/html/magicmeadow/thedinglydell trail
The Skinner Family somewhat enjoyed The Bestival Festival but very much hope for less inclement weather next year as their carpet in quite ruined- footage coming soon.
All enjoyed The Film Noir 4th Birthday Party at The Hospital Club- we hope to be returning to play with our friends at the club in 2009.
We hope to be seeing and playing with you all, in fact, in 2009. Our Love and Thanks The Assistants
Thanks also this year go to Slice PR and Southern Comfort, Nokia, Smart Fusion, The Head Gardener and The Secret Garden Party, Punchdrunk, The BAC, Rapier, Eurostar, Proud Galleries and Don't Panic, Get Lost and Found, Lolo Chambouvet, Firefish, CC-Lab, Rhidian Davies, Lovebox and the Palais Tokyo, and to Miss McGarr

FOOLS, a thank you: His assistants would like to thank everyone for coming and all the wonderful fools that took part in the last ever Red Death Late, April Fools Gold, at the Battersea Arts Centre on Saturday 5th April. This was the last of 8 months-worth of regular weekend Red Death Parties for Punchdrunk and the BAC's critically acclaimed production, the Masque of the Red Death. The Neon Ladies and the Ladies of the Maypole were terribly terribly wrong, Auntie Poppy had her cake and ate it, Danny is Fantastic was fantastic, Junior tapped his way into our hearts, The Correspondents rocked the house, and our secret guests BASEMENT JAXX knocked the blimmin house down. If you are interested in joining us for future fabulous occasions then mail us at [email protected].

p> Mr Reeling is proud to have hosted the 1st Hide & Seek Festival, an extraordinary festival of pervasive street games at the Delegates Centre, BFI Southbank Centre, London on the weekend of 11th-13th May 2007. The city became a playground for one weekend only, some of his assistants and their associates then took a further hide + seek foray to Amsterdam to get involved with the Come Out and Play festival.
AND THEN CAME.... the 2nd year of Hide + Seek around the southbank on the last weekend of June 2008 So, it was Glastonbury weekend, but it wasn't muddy on London's lovely southbank, nor around London's East End where the assistants ran, by popular demand, another version of the extraordinary and exhilarating JOURNEY TO THE END OF THE NIGHT. see above for more details of THIS IS IT... To find out about future pervasive and 'big' games CLICK HERE or go to http://www.facebook.com/p.php?i=840285005&k=ZVD33X544WZM 5BCHXKZTQT or mail us at [email protected] or become one of our facebook friends by following this link http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/s.php?ref=search& ;init=q&q=Gideon%20reeling&sid=92d6e1a493c76eb8d77f1 f429731a3d
