How Will You Die??
created with QuizFarm.comOne of my favorite movies is "Braveheart" beautiful imagery and a great story. But being that it is Hollywood and all that junk. I decided to investigate on how true the movie was to the real man. So, I went to BBC on the internet and found some information that was actually aired as one of their specials some time ago. So I bring this information to you. Whoever is bored enough to read this. Don't get me wrong it's a great movie but it's not really that accurate. So here's just some basic layouts of who William Wallace really was. Check it out if you care to.William WallaceChildhood: Son of Scottish knight and small land owner, Wallace le Weleis (Welshman). He had followed the Stewart family to Scotland in the 12th century.Early Life: Little is known before 1297.Educated by a priest who was his Uncle in Dunipace. He was taught French and Latin. He had “possible†military training. The Rising: Scotland was conquered in 1296. Many Scottish Nobles were imprisoned. Others were very harshly taxed and forced to serve under Edward I in his military campaigns against France.Revolt spread across Scotland. In May 1297 Wallace killed William Heselrig who was the English Sheriff of Lanark. From his base in the Etterick Forest his followers attacked Scone, Ancrum, and Dundee. At the same time in the north Andrew Murray led an even more successful rising. From Avoch in the Black Isle he captured Iverness and stormed Urquhart Castle by Loch Ness. His MacDougall allies cleared the west while he continued northeast.Wallaces’ strength continued to grow from the south. Most of Scotland was now liberated, and now Wallace and Murray faced open battle with the English. On the 11th of September Wallace and Murray had a victory at The Battle of Stirling Bridge. The English left with 5,000 dead on the bridge including the treasurer. His skin was taken as a trophy and used to make a belt for Wallaces’ sword.Unfortunately Andrew Murray was wounded and died 2 months later.Wallace who once was an outlaw was knighted and made the guardian of Scotland in Balliols’ name at the Forest Kirk, at either Selkirk or Carluke.
Wallace was only a knight but he held power over the nobles of Scotland, and now guided Scottish policy.Letters were dispatched to Europe declaring Scotlands’ renewed independence. He also managed to obtain from the Papacy the appointment of the patriotic Bishop Lamberton to the vacant Bishopric of St. Andrews. From a military aspect he took the war to the northern part of England raiding Newcastle and rampaging all across the north.Contemporary English chroniclers (aka.retards) accused him of atrocities such as “brutality†and “butchery†like they didn’t have the faintest clue that that is what goes on when there is a war (morons). The Battle of Falkirk: In 1298 English Nobility (aka.dumbasses) had been on the edge of war with Edward I.Even though they were displeased at his dealings with France and Scotland, they were so embarrassed about the Battle of Stirling Bridge that like a bunch of idiots united behind him for The Battle of Falkirk.‘I hae brocht ye to the ring, now see gif ye can dance’Wallace had underestimated Edwards’ battle tactics his Welsh archers killed masses of Scot spearmen.Wallace the Diplomat: (In my opinion, especially in this situation diplomacy would not be an option. Freedom or death.)After Falkirk the Scottish nobles reassembled their roles as guardians over Scotland and pursued war with Edward.Wallace was assigned envoy for the Scots to the courts of Europe.Wallace now played a high profile role. And, diplomacy was crucial to the Scots war effort. In 1299 he left for the court of King Philip IV of France. He was for a short amount of time imprisoned for political motives, but was released, and given the French Kings’s safe conduct to the papal court. In 1301 Wallace returned to Scotland and it seemed diplomacy was steadfast. But, (like the bunch of pussies they are) the French abandoned Scotland when they needed Englands’ help to suppress a revolt in Flanders. The Scots (or should I say the Scottish nobles) could forsee no victory so they recognized Edward as overlord in 1304.They were looking out for their own asses basically. They could profit more from being Englands’ ally than it’s enemy.Wallace being the freedom fighter that he was refused any type of English rule and considered them to be his enemies. This created enemies for him on both sides. The Martyrdom of William Wallace: Wallace was soon after declared and outlaw. It basically meant that anyone could kill him at anytime and without trial. He continued his resistance (I would’ve done the same damn thing). On August 3rd 1305 he was captured at Robroyston, near Glasgow. His captors name was Sir John Menteith “the falseâ€.He has gone down in history as the one who betrayed William Wallace.Yet in 1320 he put his seal to the Declaration of Arbroath.Wallace was taken to Dumbarton Castle. But he was soon moved to a show trial in Westminster Hall.He was charged with being an outlaw and a traitor. No trial was required, but Edward (the ass) intended to destroy his reputation (probably because he ruined the bastards pride). At his trial there was no jury and no lawyer. He was not even allowed to speak. But when he was accused of being a traitor he said that he had never been one of Edward’s subjects in the first place.Of course he was found guilty and taken to immediate execution in a way that they felt would symbolize his crimes. The Torture: They wrapped him in Ox Hide. This would keep him from getting ripped to pieces. He was then dragged by horses for 4 miles through London to Smithfield. There he was hanged as a murderer and a thief. BUT. They cut him down just before death so that they could mutilate and disembowel him. They then accused him of treason, and more than likely emasculated him (cut off his dick)For his supposed crimes of sacrilege to English Monasteries his heart, liver, lungs and entrails were cast on fire. Finally when they thought they had done enough the cut off his head. They then cut up his body into bits. His head was set on a pole on London Bridge. Another part went to Newcastle which was a district Wallace conquered and destroyed in 1297-8. The rest went to Berwick, Perth, and Sterling (maybe Aberdeen) as a warning to the Scots.Wallace became the symbol of the Scots struggle for freedom.

You know it's true, everything I do, I do it for youLook into your heart , you will find
There's nothing there to hide
so, take me as I am, take my life
I would give it all, I would sacrificeDon't tell me it's not worth fightin for
I can't help it, There's nothin I want more
You know it's true, everything I do, I do it for youOhhhhThere's no love, like your love
And no other, could give more love
There's nowhere, unless you're there
All the time, all the way
Look into your heart, babe.Ohh, you can't tell me it's not worth tryin for
