About Me

I've come to realise that I know very little about the world in which I live which leads to the fact that I need to learn as much about it as possible. The more I learn, the more I unearth an ignorance I never knew I had.The more I learn, the more I unearth hidden layers of meaning to things which, upon first glance, seemed pithy and superficially enjoyable. The more I learn, the more I realise that a social existence is nothing more than a game - a game I don't always like to play. Someone has to lose. The more I learn, the more I realise that all that I truely know exists inside my mind. Everything else is just for show.I shall be attending Birmingham University in October to study Philosophy. After which I'd like to stay on to pursue my study of philosophy.I have plenty of ideas - I just don't know what to do with them all yet. Does anybody know where I can put them?If you want to know more...well...ask. Don't be rude. Don't whisper behind my back trying to find out stuff about me..ask!NOTE: I don't add musicians unless I know you or I have chosen to add you...so don't bother requesting an add!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I would have dearly loved to have met Aldous Huxley before he died, simply to experience his work at first hand - he pushed the boundaries of perceptual experience further than any......whilst George Orwell could have taught me so much about the art of living simply.

My Blog

Motivate Me Momma

I wish it was easier to determine the solutions to various problems which arise. Sadly this is rarely the case, as said problems often stem from events which are far-reaching in their time-frame and s...

Ho-hum

I hate it when people use the failings of others to make themselves feel better. Everybody has things about themselves, or their lives, which they do not like, or wish to change, so the very idea of ...

Time to change

"Excuse me, do you work here?" "Yes, is there something I can help you with?" "Are these books for sale?" "Yes, yes they are" "So why does it say reference on the shelf?" "Um, well, because they are i...

The Buddha and the Beast

I've met the Buddha.    She, yes she, is in (I'd guess) her early thirties and rides the number 86 bus around Coventry listening to her iPod whilst pulsing, sometimes violently, to her...

My reality

Is there anything worse than watching, when you could be playing?   If I had to admit to something which I feared - one thing - I'd probably say it was my omniscient attitude towards life. &nbs...

I know, but do you?

To those who need to know.   They may think they have no effect upon people but they are often wrong. They may think they are not noticed by anyone but they are often wrong. They may even think ...

In love with ambiguity

Women are crazy - mind-numbingly archaic and, again, crazy.    Possibly not - quirky, perhaps.   Yet, within the battle of the sexes, they hold the power and fight, tooth and nail, to...

Do as I say, not as I do

What is the point in attempting to stay true to something whilst, at every turn, you are buffeted from your stance by circumstances out of your own personal control?   I trumpet the importance ...

Don't stop now

There seems to be so many occasions where we cannot express ourselves as we would truly like, to make people understand; frustration often kicks in, which only exasperates the problem further. Tears a...

Is it really you?

It is surprising how easily we can fall into a rut during our lives. One minute you can be taking a mental note of how&satisfied&you are with your life whilst the next you can be wondering where it al...
