About Me

I'm a straight 48-year old life-long New Englander. A bit old-fashioned at times but not straight-laced by any means. I've written two novels and several short stories. The novels were released two years ago as an omnibus edition but are no longer in print. I found out that I had been taken by a vanity press that was masquerading as a real publisher so I pulled the plug on things last year. Right now I'm still looking for a good professional agent to represent me so that doesn't happen again. Live and learn I guess.

My Interests

You are now marked on my visitor map!

Create your own visitor map!

I'd like to meet:

Adults with an interest in the world around us who like to have fun. Also really hot chicks in leather or lace. I'm not dead yet you know. :D Sorry kids but my stories are for adults and so am I.

Music:

Smooth Jazz, Boney James in particular, 60s, 70s and 80s Rock, Easy Listening and of course Sinatra.

Movies:

In no particular order – Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Hunt for Red October, The Big Sleep, Captain Blood, To Catch a Thief, The Crimson Pirate, Captain Horatio Hornblower, Dirty Harry, From Russia with Love, Tomorrow Never Dies, Heartbreak Ridge, Kelly's Heroes, Brannigan, Operation: Pacific, The Sands of Iwo Jima, James Clavell's Noble House, Star Trek II: the Wrath of Khan, Top Gun, Twelve O'Clock High, The Godfather, The Thomas Crown Affair, Where Eagles Dare, Trading Places, Donavan's Reef, A Fish called Wanda, How to Murder Your Wife, Hot Stuff, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Philadelphia Story, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Casablanca, Rio Bravo, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Five Card Stud, Gunfight at the O.K. Television:

I don’t watch much besides the local news and even that is mostly for the weather. Once in a while I’ll watch old reruns from my youth - Star Trek, Hogan’s Heroes, Twelve O’Clock High, and Wild, Wild West.

Books:

Besides my own ;) I enjoy the work of David Weber, Douglas Reeman, CS Forester, Erle Stanley Gardner, Robert B. Parker, and James Clavell. I also like Tom Clancy’s The Hunt for Red October a lot and I used to love the Mack Bolan books when Don Pendleton was still writing them.

Heroes:

I don’t know that I really have any but these are some people I admire. Frank Sinatra, Neil Armstrong, FDR, Winston Churchill, and my friend Nina Hartley for being unabashedly Nina.

I Guess its about time...

... I posted something new. :)  So here is a completely new scene that will be fleshing The Frigate Captain's weak opening section. It features both some very good dialogue, and some great action...

Re-writes are a bitch.

I'm told that The Frigate Captain needs more conflict at the start. Now to be honest I don't really agree with that. I personally prefer a story that lets me, as a reader, take my time and get to know...
