...in a time after Jesus Christ, even after the 2nd World War, strictly speaking in the year when Nicole had won the Grand Prix Eurovision, has been Ralf Barth hatched. After that it took 12 years until the first touch with the matter of electronic music vibes, when his brother couldn’t hide the tape box of the oxa-mixes anymore. First heroes like Mas Ricardo, X-Rhytm and many of the rest from swiss Progressive-House & Speedgarage scene haven’t let him go. Some years of partying encouraged him to organize little events in the south-west corner of Germany with regional Guest-DJs, before the first turntables could be called his own. More and more his music styles changed first into german Techno and “Schranzâ€, later to Electro-Tech. In 2001 he launched the party-series ‘phobia’ and a little DJ-collective. After some Open Air Events (Lütschenbach, Tribunal, Bürgeln, Lipple…) and having a few different bookings in the radio and Switzerland, he played 2004 at DJ-Contest in Parkhaus Kenzingen, which gave him the possibility to host monthly the 2nd Floor with his mates. It followed gigs at events like Audioculture, Big Bang, Timecode, Unity, Drumcode Night and in almost every electronic club in wonderful Südbaden as well a few in Switzerland (Hunter Club ZH, Electrokeller SG, …) an France (La Laiterie, Hyppocampe)
Certainly like a lot of other people he doesn’t like the stereotype thinking and he’d be the last one who isn’t open-minded enough for something new, but many different sound waves in recent years haven’t passed without a trace, even the minimal hype as well as the electrohouse upcoming-age. His sounds can be described smooth, warm and deep; as well as drifty, progressive or electrified elements are in his impulsive sets. Listen to it for yourself and you will see…
