About Me

I'm Aaron D'Albey and when I'm not working in architecture, I paint, and that is for what this page is dedicated.
Painting to me is...something other. Something above and beyond the trappings of being. Of living. Of plodding along in circles, pushing through and against one another in this insane pursuit of what we are told to pursue by those who would otherwise be satisfied to do nothing more than...nothing at all. Content to pat themselves on their backs for stumbling across the ability to control other people to the point where they themselves must destroy what they have created in a vein attempt at...living.
I paint so I can stop thinking in circles.
I paint so I can be free.
I paint so I may reach for a moment towards the divine that resides within and without. That I may ultimately float above this mess we've created, and instead become content with the simplicities that combine into the complex only to one day degrade back into their intended state.
Because for me there is no other way to understand this unusual method of existence. No other way to understand this life.
