7/14/2007:
hello all. tonight marks the first show with our new bassist and i realized we hand't properly explained what was up with the stanimal. Stan has been an integral part of who we are for the entire run of the band. We didn't want him to go, he didn't want to go. However, he has made the choice, which we all felt was courageous and smart, to take time to be with his fiance and soon his son. The last chapter will not be the same band without him and we thank him for all of his hard work.- peter

i wanted to get some stuff out, so i threw up some drop-mic recordings from the last practice. please cut us some slack, the cuts you're hearing are really raw - in fact, this was the second time we've ever played 4 with ciaran...also i put a teaser clip up of a new track (11 i guess?) because no one's heard anything new in a while. this was quite literally the FIRST time we ever jammed on this riff. hope to be playing out real soon.- kris

update on our lineup - we have picked up a gentleman by the name of ciaran to handle percussive duties, which i will say he is doing quite well. this marks the fifth evolution in the tlc lineup. hindsight is 20/20, but forwardsight is rock/roll.- kris
11/20/2006:
We are sad to report that we have parted ways with our drummer, Dan. Things will never be the same. We thank him for his hard work in the band, and wish him the best both with music and in life.- tlc
9/15/2006:
Hey kids, sorry things have been slow for a little while. we are hopefully moving into a new practice space at the end of the month, so we're holding off on any recording until then. THEN, finally, the goddamn demo will be out. i've put up a clip of 'nine' from the last practice. if you haven't caught on yet, the songs that are works in progress get numbers for titles until they are given one. take care, rock out.- kris
about tlc:
the last chapter is a modern rock/alternative band from the east side of milwaukee. We've found that people have trouble labeling us (which is obviously good for us, but doesn't give us a lot in terms of describing us to you.) Chances are if you like any of the following bands, you'll probably dig us: deftones, tool, volta, finger eleven, at the drive in, 40 below summer, nonpoint, thrice, etc. Like most bands, each of the members' influences mold our mix:peter:
while the melodic vocals of most songs are seated heavily in the 'mars volta, radiohead' section of the room, the screaming sees influence from bands like rage and the deftones.[Shure PG58 - one hell of a beard]
nic:
Among nic's favorite music is ludacris and country. no, that's not a typo.[Stingray - Ampeg]
ciaran:
double bass? check. tasteful fills? check. tasty beats? double check.'great, now i need to learn how to pick faster' - kris
[Yamaha shells, lots of different cymbals]
kris:
kris' guitarwork is simple yet technical. many single note strings are seen in the verses while full 6-string chords drive many of the choruses, usually married to octaves.[Schecter C-1 HR - H&K Vortex - Sonic 4x12]
