About Me

The most important thing in life is to
PUT GOD FIRST.
That being said, I must tell you about HE who SAVED me before I tell you of myself! If you are not a Christian, you may not entirely grasp what I have to say. So, if you have any questions, DON'T HESITATE to ask. I'd be more than HAPPY to explain things further! :-)
I owe EVERYTHING I am today to God. THE CREATOR of all things LOVES me as HIS CHILD, although I can never measure up to His only begotten Son, the SINLESS JESUS of Nazareth. Therefore, I do my best every day to be deserving of His love. I try to be as close to perfection as I can be. I strive to be Christ-like. That's why Christians ask, "WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?" He laid out the perfect blueprint for the way we should live our lives!
Jesus was born into this world, FULLY God and FULLY man. He lived a life without blemish and took on the sins of THE WORLD when He was dying on the cross. HE DIED and then conquered death so that WE MAY LIVE eternally. All we have to do is b e l i e v e that Jesus is Lord and by God's grace we are saved!
C.S. Lewis in Mere Christianity :
I am trying to prevent anyone from saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: 'I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God.' That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of a things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God.

Soooooooo... now to try and describe myself... You've probably figured out by now that I am a woman of God! :-) I think of myself as a LOW-KEY person who possesses a hint of PIZAZZ. Hopefully others view me as DOWN TO EARTH, even though my HEAD is sometimes IN THE CLOUDS... Okay, I'm actually a real big NERD (but shhh! Don't tell anybody... That's just between me and you)! :-) It warms my heart to HELP OTHERS, even if it means simply putting a SMILE on their face. One of my downfalls is that I'm overly sensitive... so don't make me cry! lol! In my opinion, the most appealing traits in any person are HUMILITY, COMPASSION and SELFLESSNESS. I'm usually drawn to people who are FREE SPIRITED and OPEN MINDED.
As for my life, I was born in Portland, Oregon, which naturally makes me a die-hard TRAIL BLAZERS FAN! (Yes... even when they're going through some rough times!) They won their only championship the year before I was born, so I really hope they'll win one during my lifetime. I'm an NBA FAN period. "I love this game!" I've lived in quite a few cities within the states of Oregon, Washington, Nebraska and Tennessee. I live in Omaha now, and LOVE calling this place HOME. My lil sis is my roommate and best friend.
I'm always listening to MUSIC. It's good for the SOUL. I enjoy DRAWING and WRITING every now and then, and also like to think of myself as a HISTORY BUFF. I TRAVEL whenever I get the opportunity. It's important to take the time to RELAX. If you can make me LAUGH you're cool with me. I have a MENTAL ILLNESS called schizoaffective disorder that I'm pretty open about. It has deeply impacted my life and the way I look at things. My favorite times are spent with GOD, FAMILY and FRIENDS.
It's good genes! Ha! Ha! I'm playin'! But I truly love my family.
AREN'T MY NIECES CUTE!?!
My friends are pretty cute too! ;-)
Yup, I've been blessed!!!

has not a friend to spare,
And he who has one enemy
shall meet him everywhere."

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, endures all things.
~~1 Corinthians 13:4-7(NASB)~~

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
~~2 Corinthians 1:3-5(ESV)~~
Written in 1589, by Don Mancio Serra de Leguisamo, one of the last survivors of the original conquerors of Peru:
"We found these kingdoms in such good order, and the said Incas governed them in such wise [manner] that throughout them there was not a thief, nor a vicious man, nor an adulteress, nor was a bad woman admitted among them, nor were there immoral people. The men had honest and useful occupations. The lands, forests, mines, pastures, houses and all kinds of products were regulated and distributed in such sort that each one knew his property without any other person seizing it or occupying it, nor were there law suits respecting it… the motive which obliges me to make this statement is the discharge of my conscience, as I find myself guilty. For we have destroyed by our evil example, the people who had such a government as was enjoyed by these natives. They were so free from the committal of crimes or excesses, as well men as women, that the Indian who had 100,000 pesos worth of gold or silver in his house, left it open merely placing a small stick against the door, as a sign that its master was out. With that, according to their custom, no one could enter or take anything that was there. When they saw that we put locks and keys on our doors, they supposed that it was from fear of them, that they might not kill us, but not because they believed that anyone would steal the property of another. So that when they found that we had thieves among us, and men who sought to make their daughters commit sin, they despised us."
(...thus the real savagery began...)
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

The Lord Commanded Joshua: "Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to the law which Moses my servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts. And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
