About Me

The Skunk 11 is out to show the world (well let's start with our hometown first) that ska will never die! Starting as a pop/punk trio called Orange Drink, Chris Gates, Victor Trubowitch and Dan Knopp decided that nothing could be more fun than to get all of their friends involved. Adding 2 trumpets, valve trombone, alto sax, tenor sax and bari sax, The Skunk 11 was formed. Over the years their lineup has changed, but the mentality has remained. With relentless self-promotion and electric live performances, The Skunk 11 have earned the right to play with national acts the likes of Catch 22, The Toasters, The Pietasters, Big D and the Kids Table, Whole Wheat Bread, Badfish, The Distorted Penguins, The Slackers, and Punchline - as well as earning an appearance on the Vans Warped Tour in 2006. Their pace stays true to pop/punk roots, and adds a taste of your basic ska riffs and beats. With nearly 4 years of experience and over 500 albums sold, The Skunk 11 is the largest group of band geeks to grace any stage. Their pop/punk influences drive the music, yet they stay true to ska.
