I'd REALLY like to start a band. I'm fed up moaning about the state of what is considered music these days. So if you really dislike the seemingly never ending array of synth driven Indie crap that people with little musical talent are making money from *Deep Breath* Then we might be on the same page.
I call what i'd like to make rock with elements of punk, metal, pop and acoustic
sounds a tad odd, but bands I'd like to sound a little like are
Goldfinger, Feeder, Sugarcult, Lostprophets, All American Rejects, Sum 41, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Incubus, Oasis, Chili Peppers, Stereophonics, The Subways and Velvet Revolver.
Lostprophets drums are epic
Fleas bass lines are incredible
Incubus has progressiveness that is unoffensive is fantastic
Stereophonic and Subways use simplicity beautifully
love the use of chords in Oasis and Coldplay
Sum 41 - do you know anyone who didn't have all killer no filler
Slash is god *im not naive i know its all minor pentatonic but it works*
lastly, i want to create something that musicians will respect, radios will play and lyrics that deal with love, loss, the world and ourselves.
