I'm a geek. Sometimes I feel like an alien, and other times I think I'm the only human left. I can be really entertaining if you get me on the right subject. I'm a lot of different people.. my emotions are volatile and intense.
I'm not really a man... I'm not really effeminate either. I like to pull traits that I appreciate and/or identify with from both 'male' and 'female' roles, and I honestly think you're all really fucked up with your male/female dichotomy. It makes me so sick... lots of your irrational behaviors do. I'm not saying I'm rational, I'm saying you make me crazy :/
I'm like that about a lot of things.. a fence-sitter who doesn't have particularly strong opinions, or whose opinions shift with the changing winds.
I'm sort of mystical about the computer shit..
Tom Knight and the Lisp Machine
A novice was trying to fix a broken Lisp machine by turning the power off and on.
Knight, seeing what the student was doing, spoke sternly: "You cannot fix a machine by just power-cycling it with no understanding of what is going wrong."
Knight turned the machine off and on.
The machine worked.
