Chingo Bling is a Mexican American rapper from Houston, Texas. He is known for his gimmick as a Tamale Kingpin, dressed with his notable cowboy boots adorned with the Nike logo.Chingo Bling graduated from Trinity University (Texas) with a BA in business administration, was a member of the national business fraternity ???, and is CEO and founder of the record label Big Chile Entertainment.His musical style parallels that of "Weird Al" Yankovic. He parodies popular rap songs into comedy, while rapping in broken English as part of his image, however, he is fluent in English.Chingo Bling's attire is a cross between hip-hop urban wear and western cowboy wear. This is in part due to the stereotype of many Latino immigrants who embrace American trends but still keep some of their own.His outfit includes:Cowboy boots made of ostrich leather and adorned with a Nike logo, the popular Swoosh.

Aside from the regular merchandise such as "t-churts", hats, and CDs, he has been creative in offering never before seen items from a rapper.Among the most notable items are:Bobble heads: Limited edition bobble heads made in his likeness include G.I. Chingo, Chingo Bling Blue Jersey, Chingo Bling Green Jersey, Chingo Bling Black Jersey, and Slabble Head, which features the bobble head driving a red car similar to the one he actually drives as part of the set up.
Hot sauce: He has also created his own version of hot sauce. The label depicts him breathing fire, comically implying the hot sauce really is that hot.
Tamale Ornaments: First appearing in 2005, these are miniature versions of tamales, a holiday staple in most Latin homes. These are meant to decorate Christmas trees. The original tamales came three in a miniature wooden box and his holiday CD.
Coloring Books: Intended for children, Chingo Bling's coloring books is 20 pages long and features caricatures of Chingo Bling and friends.In early 2006, Chingo Bling made headlines once again when he drew the attention of major record labels eager to sign him, including Bad Boy Latino, Universal Records, Asylum (owned by Warner Music Group), Capitol Records, and Atlantic Records. [1] On April 1, 2006, he made the announcement on Chicano Radio Network that he has signed a distribution deal Asylum Records. [2] While he still maintains his independent status from the label, his distribution deal will manage to give him major financial backing for his up coming projects.He has been featured in an MTV documentary about Houston rap.He has been featured on several episodes of BET Series Beef.Chingo Bling was also featured with Nelly and Paul Wall on a remix of Nelly's "Grillz" song. He has made cameos in Chamillionaire's videos "Turn It Up" and "Ridin'". He was also featured in Pepsi's Yahoo! "Houston Mic Pass" with Lil' Flip, Chamillionaire, Trae, Bun B, Short Dawg, H.A.W.K, Magno and Mike D.[1] He is featured in the N.O.R.E. video "Mas Maiz" along with Fat Joe, Lil Rob, Nina Sky, Lumidee, Big Mato & Negra of LDA. He currently has a distribution deal with Warner Brothers subdivision Asylum Records.[2]Chingo Bling, Paul Wall, and Eddie Deville were featured on Kingz Of Spring Break 2, released in 2006. His next album will be titled They Can't Deport Us All which will be Out On May 8 of 2007. His video for the single "THIS AND LIKE THAT" debuted on 1/18/07 at the Parish in Austin,Texas.During an episode of Beef on BET a part of his single "Like This And Like That" from his upcoming album They Can't Deport Us All stated "Right now they got us cleaning up Katrina yo Kanye, Bush dont like Mexicans either," also stating that George W. Bush is racist against Mexicans as well as Black people as stated by Kanye West and that he has Mexicans cleaning up the disasters of Hurricane Katrina.
Nike has a Law Suit against Chingo Bling due to the Nike swoosh on his boots though he made the comment when Sway a reporter from MTV asked him about his boots during the episode of My Block Houston and also an interview from Urban Latino he made a comment that the conflict is being worked out.
He is known for releasing his own versions, or parodying, many hit singles, by adding his a bit of his own personality.
