A happy year of the pig, er, boar, to you!

About Me

First off, I'm NOT here for dating, hooking up, whatever. Also, I'm a surgical tech by trade, but a dancer at heart (and at the center of my soul!!!!!). After I graduated Cornish I thought for sure dance had to be taken seriously. Through the help of some good friends, I've since changed my views & been making a mockery of it since! Maybe not a mockery...well we have a lot of fun.Lately I've not been dancing as much as doing sketch comedy with Bad Actors Productions, but I've been choreographing small sequences here and there & that works for me :-) Some of the friends I have here are the best-est people in the world! You may not know it, but you've inspired me in one way or another. Love you all :-)

My Interests

Dance & Music are really a part of life for me, so I personally don't consider those 'interests' as so much necessities. Also: Orthopedic/Spine Surgery, Comedy (wish I still had Comedy Central), Tai Chi, laughing so hard & loud that I make people uncomfortable. I'm getting more & more into theater, though it is a slow process. And I really dig animation! width="425" height="350" ..

I'd like to meet:

People I haven't seen in many moons & people I admire.

Music:

Mostly alternative rock, but also classical, what used to be called "New Wave", dance/techno, classic rock, and buttrock (how can you not adore it?). Musicians I like that are in a class of their own (to me anyway): Roger Waters (with and without Pink Floyd), with that I'd definetly say Syd Barrett (Bless his soul), John Cage, Philip Glass, Queen, NIN, Led Zeppelin, Muse, Rush, Tool, Primus, Foo Fighters, Mars Volta; I guess some of that is prog rock. I have respect for most other forms of music, I just don't listen to them often. Of course I will always have a hard spot in my heart for Metal. I also love camileons (or those who continuely reinvent themselves) so: U2, Madonna, The Beatles, David Bowie, Linda Ronstand, Prince. On the classical side of things, I like Arvo Part, Rachmaninoff, Igor Stavinsky, George Crumb, and Tchaikovsky. Oh and just about eveything on Dr. Kahn's Ipod, HA!

Movies:

Magical Mystery Tour, Rock n' Rule, Mulholland Drive, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill (Both), Bring it on, pretty much anything by Monty Python, Waiting for Guffman, First in Show, Mighty Wind, Team America (Fuck yeah), South Park Movie, Cabin boy, Dogma, Clerks, Office Space, Anchor man, Red Dawn, The Outsiders, The Wall, The Wall Live in Berlin, The Nightmare before Christmas, Fantasia (The original, not the sequal), Tommy, Quadrofinia (sp?), Tombstone, The Boondock Saints, Moulin Rouge, Mad Hot Ballroom, The Company, Shaolin Soccer, Kung Fu Hustle, House of Flying Daggers; I'm sure there will be more here later.

Television:

Family Guy, So you think you can Dance, Big Brother (season 6 rocks!), Grey's Anatomy, Arrested Development, House, Bones, The Simpsons (duh!), The Maxx, Aeon Flux, America's Next Top Model (I admit it), The Young Ones, Ab Fab (really anything French & Saunders does), Creature Comforts (UK & US versions),20/20 (what?), Scrubs, Heroes, Ugly Betty, Monty Python's Flying Circus

Books:

As I Lay Dying, Johnnie Get Your Gun, All Quiet on the Western Front, 1984, Animal Farm, Dante's Hell, Pontoon, OMG! How could I forget about Edgar Allan Poe?? I've read practically everything he ever wrote

Heroes:

My mom & dad, George Harrison, Roger Waters, Martha Graham, Josephine Baker, Suicide Girls, Carmen Electra, Catherine O'Hara, Freddie Mercury(until recently, I didn't realize just how much his stage movement has really impacted me as a dancer!), umm, yeah!
