About Me

I'm Bateria now but I don't forget where I came from. This page is for all those that came up in the 1996 Hip Hop Era. We ruled the streets and open mics. I'm proud to say that alot of the Mc's, Dj's & producers that I came up with have done very well for themselves. It's 2007 and Hip Hop has taken various directions, some good some bad, but it still dominates.Jedi was a young little spitter always roaming the streets of NYC looking for the next cypher. Shit we use to be up till the next morning spitting... Washington Sq Park- neyorican poets cafe- wherever.We thought we were rap superheros, and had no worries about anything except getting in the studio.I put out two singles, my first with DJ Shok called "Shok therapy" on Mass Vinyl records in 1996 and in 1998 "the Journey" on Headbop music through fatbeats.I was also featured on the Lyricist lounge album vol 1 "After the show"My first rap group was with Spectrum called "Redawn" then we joined "Pyramindz" with Matrix and then went to running around everywhere with AL repping the notorious "House of Repz"I will update this site from time to time.Enjoy 1996 Hip Hop.
