Maxie Königs first contact to electronic music was exposed by Bands like Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb, pathfinders of a rhythmic, electronically dance music witch is called EMB. The drifting beats and hard sounds of this wave-gothic-modification still form, at least in parts, Maxies taste of music.In 1998 Maxie started to mix house- and dance music records. At first she practised in the basement of a dance school, which was used for parties, later on private parties.One year later she had her first performance in a small Club, even if it was accidental. Maxie Koenig worked as a waiter in Madison-Club in Neustadt, as the management was looking for a new DJ for Friday night. So she seized the chance. Actually she should play exclusively chart-music, but she always played a short House-Mix.The effect: in short time it got about that there was danceable music to hear on Friday nights and more and more People came to hear the house-mixes. Soon there was no response for chart music anymore.On one of these nights Maxie König was introduced by friends to the Dj and producer Hardy Heller, who was also impressed by Maxies ability. Because he is also the organiser of the legendary Ohral-Parties and always looks for new Dj-Talents, it didn’t took long and Maxie mixed her first set on one of these parties.A lot of other Parties and events ensued. For example the TV-Whatever-Parties in MS-Connexion or diverse gigs in Lagerhaus in Mannheim. But also the Stockwerk, other discos in Kaiserslautern and diverse Clubs, so as many, many parties were on her agenda.In 2003 Maxie König calmed down because of her job and examinations that been in store for her. But this is the past.Maxie König is back and she goes straight ahead!
