This is a sample of some of my electroacoustic/acousmatic work. I started off doing this kind of thing about 1998-ish, while at Newcastle University doing music. At that time it was all mainly instrumental, but I used computer software to make some arrangements of recorded instrumental phrases. Perhaps I'll put some of that stuff on here some time...
In 2000/2001 I lived in York, where I did what I would consider to be my first 'proper' acousmatic stuff, that is, recording 'real world' sounds, transforming them in various ways, and building the results into something 'structured.'
After moving to Sheffield in late 2001 I continued to do bits and bobs. The stuff on here at the moment is from 2002-2006.
I hope to continue doing this kind of thing, but now that I have 'a proper job' who knows whether or not I'll have the time... We'll see.
