After spending the bulk of 2008 in the recording studio, Perth rock band The Bronze have finally emerged with “Feels Like the Endâ€, their debut EP that will no doubt have tongues wagging as it makes its mark on both the local and national music scene. The release of the four-track EP aims to provide both fans of the band and the industry at large a snapshot of The Bronze sound, as well as serve as a platform to launch and promote their forthcoming debut album.
Recorded by Rob Agostini at Soundbaker, the Feels Like the End EP showcases the band’s many strengths, particularly in the songwriting department. The tracks combine distinct and memorable vocal melodies, dynamic guitar layering and a pulsating rhythm section, which enough twists and turns to keep each song compelling to the very end.
The EP comes on the back of what has been a successful year for The Bronze, which since its formation in March 2007 has become a staple on the Perth original music circuit, gigging regularly throughout metro and rural WA while rapidly building a devoted following on the back of their intense and often unpredictable live shows.
Along with building their live performance reputation, The Bronze have also spent the majority of 2008 in the studio recording their debut album, which is to be mixed and mastered over the coming months. No release date is confirmed, with the band looking to secure the appropriate distribution and subsequent touring before the album is launched.
