Yun Quest’s music is very open minded, intelligent, and aggressive with a focus on cutting edge production. His music is expressed through his reflections of his life experiences and witty personality. Yun Quest was born in Columbus, Ga. raised by a hard working mother of 2 on the southside of Columbus right off Farr Rd in the trailer park known as "Farr Rd. Trailer Court". Curious and adventurous to say the least he ran through the streets as a young adolescent with a very strong outspoken personality. Those that know him would say he has the smartest mouth you have ever encountered but speaks more truth than the average man. Growing up, being able to have his father in his life made him a wise person because he would always take time to listen to his elders though he wouldn't always obey their advice. At age 10 Yun Quest received a Casio keyboard for Christmas, that’s when the torch was set ablaze in his soul and he found his first true love…..Music. Phenix City became his home when he was 12 and went to live with his father. Introduced to the streets of south Phenix City, “Tin Top City†to be exact filled with poverty and drugs Quest quickly adapted to the pace. It was there where he experienced many ordeals and the hustles of the streets. He started recording when he was 14 after his older brother invested in a 4-track digital recorder. Being forced to get things on his own since his mother was struggling and his father would barely support him with things that he wanted. Yun Quest decided it was time for a change so he sought after a college degree in Birmingham, AL. After two years in Birmingham he kept a strong hold on his street mentality and knowledge from south Phenix City not changing for no one. He caught an attempted murder charge on a police officer in 2006. After beating the case he headed back to Phenix City to stay with his father again and teamed up with a childhood friend to get back into creating music following a 3 year hiatus.Yun Quest released two independent mixtapes on a street level with free distribution of over 4,000 CDs. Yun Quest exudes his outlook on society through his art and passion which is expressed in a very innovative and intellectual way. Every now and then he will put humor into his rhymes to get the point across but metaphors are not his goal. An artist that desires to paint a portrait for anyone going through parallel situations Yun Quest is not the type to glorify the drug dealing, gang banging, or stupid random acts of violence. His motto which is very direct in his music is "Get it How U Live†as long as it serves a purpose and you have a plan, set goals. His music is neither street nor Hollywood, yet it could still be put out for mainstream. It’s basically motivational, realistic anthems for the average man with a dream to relate to. He talks about real life situations while providing an uplifting impulsive sound for those doing what they have to do to survive. Like people who are working 9 to 5's, stripping, trapping, and CEOs who must keep a corporation going. Yun Quest’s music is very passionate but is still a honest reflection of his life story. Bottom line Yun Quest is an artist that the music industry needs and is ready to embrace. HANDS DOWN!!!!DOWNLOAD MIXTAPE BELOW BY CLICKING ON THE LINK BELOW
