Johnny ................ Fun loving Gemini with a serious side.

About Me

After many years owning my own print shop and locksmith businesses, I was forced to retire due to COPD a very serious lung condition. I miss the activity and the pleasure of working with customers on a daily basis.Among other things, I enjoy photography and computer graphics, as well as SUMI-E an oriental painting technique. I have a strong affinity for anything oriental. Although not fluent in it, I can speak, read and write some Japanese. I love their culture, their artwork, culinary dishes, their mastery of the Martial Arts, and their Philosophy and love of nature. If I had enough time left in life, I would love to visit the Japanese mainland and Okinawa. Foremost of course, I value my wonderful friends and the time I can spend with them and my son and daughter and my grand children.Recently bought an electronic keyboard and hope to teach myself to play. I do have an old guitar or two around but am far from a master of the instrument. i enjoy music of most all forms except for RAP.I love "critters" of most all sizes, shapes and colors. For several years raised, trained and showed Arabian horses. Also love dogs, cats, birds ... you name it. Since I live in an apartment complex which doesn't allow pets, the only ones I have now are a batch of extremely horny guppies.I am truly blessed to be the proud owner of a priceless art collection consisting of the works of my granddaughter and some of her young friends. Most of it was rendered by the children working in crayon, pencil or felt-tip marker medium and all share a common thread of spontaneity that is truly refreshing to behold. Nearly all of it bears the signatures of the artists. My collection is exhibited with great pride on my refrigerator and on the walls throughout my apartment.Speaking of kids ... check out what this little character has to say about MONSTERS:

I enjoy humor and seem never at a loss to come up with a joke at the appropriate time. :)

My Interests

"The only two things in life that make it worth livin' is guitars that tune good and firm feelin' women. I don't need my name in the marquee lights; I got my song and I got you with me tonight."
Waylon and Willie

I'd like to meet:

A woman who shares some of my interests of course. Needs to have a good sense of humor and the ability to be just plain silly with me at times. I also have a serious nature and study metaphysics ... particularly the writtings of Deepak Chopra. Sylvia Browne is also very interesting and I watch her sometmes when Dr. Phil has a boring subject. Dr.Phil rules! It would be nice to meet a romantic gal with some interest in art of some form ... perhaps painting or sketching. I have found that crafters are alot of fun to be with too, since they are so creative and full of ideas.Since I am limited in my abilty to leave my apartment, I would like to meet someone who could visit me or at least one who would want to spend some time talking by phone or voice IM.Since I am young at heart, I have no age preference and have friends of all ages.

In case you haven't seen or heard Taylor Ware perform before, please watch this little clip from one of her recent TV appearences. Out of thousands of talented contestants on "America's Got Talent", Taylor was a very close runner up to the top prize. She is an exceptionallly gifted young lady with a great voice, a killer yodel and a terrrific personality to go along with it. This may be the first you have seen this pig-tailed wonder girl, but I can almost guarantee ... it won't be your last. Taylor is a Super Star in the making!

There are so many good ones it is hard to list them all. Instead I will tell what my Top Five or Six of all time might be: On Golden Pond, Pay It Forward, Cannery Row, Dances With Wolves, I Love You Alice B. Toklas, The Horse Whisperer and others. Big fan of most all of the films by Woody Allen.

Television:

I watch several of the talent shows as well as Larry King, the forensic crime shows, a few talk shows, some ETV programs as well as many of the episodes on the Animal Channel. We will really miss having Steve Erwin in the midst of things. He was a real talent and a wonderful resource of knowlege as well as a wildlife advocate who will be dearly missed.
I also follow current events and try to keep up with the news.

Books:

I'm a big fan of the master ... John Steinbeck and have read most all of his works. Besides several Chopra's books, I last read the DaVinci Code by Dan Brown. Does my Learn To Play Piano ... While You Sleep book count? LOL
