La ilaha illAllah Muhammadur Rasulullah. InshaAllah I am a muhajiba, a muslima and a muhmeena and I bear witness that there is no God worthy of worship except Allah, and his last and final messenger was Muhammed ibn Abdullah. Allahu Akbar!I'm embarking upon a very spiritual journey and striving really hard now to make it a habit to have daily practice and worship of the Shariah and the Sunnah. I don't claim a particular sect but if I am ahlus sunnah wa jamaat and if I had to choose one that was closest to the minhaj and aqeeda of my worship and faith it would be ad dawatus-Salafiya. I do appreciate and use all 4 madhabs as well as adopt knowledge and apply things learned from many minhajs. But being one of the salaf is where my learning comes from and where my worships leans.I am a very principled, disciplined and motivated woman in that I go after things that I want or feel will be good for my life, my livelyhood or my affairs. I seek to be upwardly mobile, progressive and industrious as I diligently move towards self-sufficiency, economic sustainability, and enhancing my spiritual life, family and community life and professional development. Which is something that I think Muslims of color in this country should do for our own enclaves to maintain and sustain ourselves. I think that often times we as "Indigenous Muslims" shortchange ourselves, buy into the lies/hype/stereotypes and we are too independent when we should be interdepedent.If you see that we have interests or ideologies in common or not please do get in touch.
