I grew up in a small, small town in Illinois called Seneca. After a few years in central Illinois as a college radio DJ and a jazz DJ for NPR, I relocated to Chicago. I must get bored easily, as I've had something like 27 jobs, many of which involved making sandwiches or waiting tables. I talk a lot, especially when I'm uncomfortable. These days, I live in Portland, OR, where locals enjoy making fun of my Midwestern accent. My dog, Maggie, is a mysterious leopard hound with a compulsive licking problem. I have a special place in my heart for Wilco, Modest Mouse, Davey von Bohlen, Philly cheesesteaks, Maker’s Mark, all things Greg Dulli and sausage McMuffins. People think I look sweet, but usually find that to be somewhat inaccurate.

I really just wanna sit on his lap and drink bourbon...and take drags off his cigarettes. Is that so wrong?
