I'm a 35 year old actor - mostly musical theatre. My next project is "All Shook Up" at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster, PA. I'll be playing the role of Sheriff Earl. It should be immensely fun!
I grew up in Merriam, KS (suburb of Kansas City). In 1990 I attended Creighton University in Omaha, NE, where I earned a BFA in theatre and lived there until January 2005.In the fall of 2003 I met a pretty girl named Tara Kennedy who was working for the Nebraska Historical Society. We met while working together on "Smokey Joe's Cafe". I fell in love with her Amazing Technicolor Stockings, and the rest is history. She was offered a job at Yale in late 2004, so I followed her to New Haven, CT in Jan. 2005. We were married May 12, 2007 at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven.
Besides staying with Tara, the move to New Haven was a good opportunity for me to work professionally in theatre. Being less than two hours away from New York City, I've been able to audition for many professional companies and have been fortunate to have secured fairly regular work.
Tara and I have two beautiful cats. Minnie is really Tara's cat. Minnie tolerates my presence - grudgingly. I like to call her "Catzilla" mostly because I've lost a lot of blood trying to be friends with her. Her usual greeting for me is an evil "HISSSSSS". The other cat, Ella, is Daddy's little girl. She was a stray - only a couple of weeks old - when Tara found her at a cast party in Omaha. Ella and I bonded, and now she's my pretty little girl. So friendly and cuddly! Ella is the polar opposite of Minnie. I sometimes regret the fact that my work takes me away from home for such long periods of time. Of course I miss Tara, but at least I can talk to Tara on the phone and Tara can understand why I'm away. Poor little Ella has no idea why "Daddy" disappears for weeks or months at a time, and I hate for her to feel abandoned.I come from a big old Irish Catholic family. I'm the youngest of six (3 boys, 3 girls - Father's name is Mike, mother's name is Carol - too Brady Bunch!). I now have ten nieces and nephews to keep me busy when I get to visit the KC/Omaha area - which is not as frequent as I might like.
