Ride To Ruin is the materialization of collective drives and desires. The members have a very diverse background, all good friends since a young age. Growing up in the same area and around the same things creates an unspoken form of common mindsets, and a creative way of producing music. Trials and tribulations have forever been a plague, but it has brought with it a clearer way of seeing what is wanted, that being gifted enlightenment and drive. A few month hiatus occurred rather recently, yet all members decided to give it another go after discovering that brothers in arms are a thing that cannot be kept apart. A new sound shrouds us now, along with a different approach to breathe new life into what we almost lost.
The common goal of the band is to not sound like anyone or anything else, but rather to infuse within the sound something unique, meshing all influences into a creature brand new. Along side that is the positive message we try to incorporate, lyrics driven and meaningful, possessing a palpable vision, one of the greatness and glory of life, and the many things one can do in a lifetime. Spoken of also is the flip side to that, the duality of all things, the failures of mankind, the malice, the hate, the lack of commrodery. Yet hope is forever embedded within whatever message the band is trying to send in each individual song. The solution or ending of the problem.
Screaming, intricate, powerful guitars… rhythmic, hypnotic, fevered percussion… creative cadence the heartbeat of bass… vocals strong, challenging, and engaging… all of these singularly captivating things combine into a sound unlike all others. Music defines. Music enlightens. Music creates. Desire motivates all around us, the wanton need to become the key to alter a few lost souls. Greed is absent, idolization and selfishness does not dictate or compel anything we do. We exist beside our talents and the fact that we may be able to reach a handful out there that understand our message, and long to hear an innovative and hope filled sound.
We realize the utter importance and necessity of fans. Without fans, we are nothing. Fans are the life source of what we choose to do.. That is why we encourage input, encourage opinions, encourage the friendship, not just the affection of the music. To know a band, to know all they are trying to achieve, to see it stripped bare for all to witness, their goals and meanings and all they long to accomplish, that is to comprehend the essence of their purpose, the core of their collective being, and of all they wish to convey.
Music is emotion. The comprehension of that single reality is winning half the battle. Raw and gritty, morose and melancholy, angry and furious, caring and compassionate, the diverse delivery of all of these things becomes the abstract factor that allows different vibes and sounds to appear every time a new song is written. We strive to channel our beliefs and knowledge into our music. This calling leaves us perpetualy restless, and the gifts we have further that into an echo of all we are, and all that stands before us. The music has become our salvation, our stronghold, and our weapon. We will utalize these blessings to their limit.
