About Me

THE ARTIST:Langlois first started drawing when he was about 6. At school his exercise books became covered with various doodles of Lucky Luke, Odd Barbapapa type thingies and the odd Messerschmitt 109. Despite this startling display of talent, his imitation watercolour copies in Art Class were not so prolific. In Maths class however he was beginning to draw a pretty mean Sherman tank. One day a teacher took pity on this obviously bored and hopeless kid and granted him access to his complete collection of comic books. BLAM! Within a few years Langlois had travelled the world, fought the war, been a spy, gone to the moon and shagged some pretty spectacular birds all through the comic book medium. Real life? Who needs it?... Eventually at about 12 he had finally got the Stuka bomber down to a fine art when the inevitable happened. It was 1977. Music kicked down the door and drawing went screaming out the window landing with a splat on the pavement. The last gasp was when he painted his bedroom 'pop art' aged about 16 and managed to scrape a C in Art ‘O’ level. Eventually he accidentally managed to talk his way into a band and didn’t look back. After a long career in the music biz he finally got fed up at the age of 35, deciding to follow new avenues and started drawing and painting again. He hasn’t looked back since. In a world of Shock art, high drama and deep dark and meaningful expressionism, the Artist likes to think of his work as colourful, fun and sexy. He hopes you like it.
