My name is BobbiJo. I live in a gorgeous, little southern Mississippi town on the Gulf of Mexico called Ocean Springs. I have been here since 1993, and I love it. This place and its people have become intertwined with my soul, adopting me as one of their own. I truly feel that this is home. My husband of almost three years and I bought a house here. It’s old and tiny, but chalked full of character. We are learning how to do our own remodeling. Hard work! It is challenging and fulfilling though. I have learned how to hang drywall, mud, and use a texture gun to apply knockdown to our walls. We live in a quiet little neighborhood, surrounded by great people. We love our neighbors; they are like family.Being a sub-tropical climate, the weather is phenomenal. We have mild winters, warm springs, cool falls, and hot, sunny summers. The weather is perfect for all of the great outdoor activities my husband and I enjoy. We spend our summers boating, fishing, and camping on the local barrier islands. Horne and East Ship are our favorites. They offer aqua blue water, stark white sand dunes, pine forest, marshlands, bayous, and so many different types of wildlife. We spend our spring and fall canoeing, fishing, and playing Frisbee golf. Our short lived winters are great for catching up with family and friends. We usually grill out or boil some crawfish, crabs, or shrimp on Sundays.Our weekend nights are usually spent at the Government St Grocery listening to kick-ass blues and rock bands. You can find me on the dance floor, usually by myself, while my husband can be found in the back playing fuse ball. Great bar, know everyone, love everyone. I love music by the way. I can’t do anything without my soundtrack. Ha! Ha! I like to pretend my life is some great epic movie; the music I listen to is my soundtrack. Genre changes according to my mood and the situation. Even if I don’t have a radio, you can guarantee that there is some bad ass brass band blowin’ out my eardrums from the inside out.I go to school off and on. I really do want to finish my degree, I just haven’t figured out if it’s in the story line or not. I major in English. Probably can’t tell by my writing. I hate grammar, but I love English. I love writing. Comes down to that whole thing about my life being this great epic movie, I’m working on the screen play. JK. I don’t really write about myself, but I do let my life feed into my writing. I’ve had some exceptional moments in my life that I think people can find interesting. I’ve also had some crazy bullshit go down that I know someone out there can relate to. Yeah, so like I said, I’m just part of a bigger picture, a bigger story.Anyhow, that’s kinda' who I am.
