About Me

| View Show | Create Your Own
Buried at PhotoCasket.com I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of Colonial Wars, and a member of Daughters of 1812. Descended from 8 colonial revolutionary chaps, and my husband is descended from no less than 4 himself. I paint large scale hex signs and murals, with airbrush or other various applicators.and various mediums, and I am obsessed with pursuing artistic ventures. I was born in Washington D.C. on Winter Solstice 1970 to an Irish father and German/Dutch/Indian/French mother.....moved to Carlisle Pa when I was two, and have been here ever since. Childhood was wondorus as most childhoods should be in life, I lived in the woods, near a creek and many hours were spent listening and understanding and watching the harmony of nature unfolding, catching tadpoles, turtles, salamanders, bugs and fishing. Summers were good, and I divided my time between my father's family who were true Irish mountaineers from a place called Frog Hollow, near Chestnut Grove Md. I grew up with moonshine literally in my blood, and was still made by my grandfather regularly. It's still made today by my cousins, although I plead the fifth on any information if you ask me. My job was to stir the mash and not tell my Mama what I was doing chore wise. We lived normal mountain farmer life, seasonal living off the land, raising crops, butchering in the fall, and of course, once in awhile, making shine. The other half of summers were spent down the road in West Virginia with my Nana and Pop and family, in the Blue Ridge, listening to bluegrass and being surrounded by family, fried chicken and iced tea (we have an ENORMOUS family and yes, everyone IS related in West Virgina, at least in the panhandle they are, uh, that's not a joke.)I lived Hee Haw. Spent early years in Carlisle School District, severly traumatic crappy high school years in Boiling Springs School District, hung out with a bunch of badasses, and had a ROCKIN time but in the end, went back to Carlisle to grad-u-ate during summertime...., went to college for dentistry, came out with a puney degree cause i was still having a ROCKIN good time and couldn't be bothered to get my ass in gear....worked as a wench/grounds person at PA Ren Faire for three years, then bowed out cause it was just too much of a drive from where i was living. Now I live on the outskirts of Carlisle, in farm country, with my Anamchara, six outside cats, three inside cats, (one with cerebal palsy,) three hermit crabs, and one beeeeeeeutiful baby girl dog!! I married a straight up Irish boy, (don't you always go back to your roots??) who loves his truck and toys too much, and we are trying to restore this old money pit, oops, I mean farmhouse and it is taking FOREVER to work on!!
